Google Business Profile help for Lake Wylie
The small map above the search results is built from Business Profiles. This is how we help you tune yours without ever taking the keys.
Type "boat repair near me" anywhere on the peninsula and Google usually answers with a small map and a short stack of businesses before a single website appears. Most people choose from that stack and never scroll further.
Those map entries are Google Business Profiles. Four things feed them: the category you chose, how thoroughly the profile is filled in, your review record, and your distance from the searcher. The last one can't be changed. The other three are cheap to improve, and a profile that tells the same story as your website is usually the quickest gain on offer.
You stay at the helm
We don't request manager rights on anyone's listing, ever. Roger writes out a playbook for your profile, one step at a time, and you carry out each step under your own login. If you'd rather not go it alone, he stays on a screen share while you click. The listing never leaves your control.
Line by line through the profile
- Main category
- Weighted above every other field. Choose a near miss and whole groups of searches pass you by.
- Supporting categories
- Just a few, and only for jobs you actually want.
- Business name, address, phone
- Spelled exactly the way your website spells them, down to the suite number and the 29710 ZIP.
- Areas served
- Real places your trucks or customers come from, such as Lake Wylie, Clover or Steele Creek, and nowhere you don't go.
- Service list
- Worded the way a customer would say it, each item tied to its page on your site.
- Photo library
- Current pictures of finished jobs, the storefront or dock, and the crew, plus a note on what's missing.
- Review record
- The count, how fresh it is, whether replies go out, and a short link that makes asking painless.
- Opening hours
- Seasonal and holiday changes included, so nobody pulls into an empty lot.
- Link to your site
- Sent to the page that best answers the search, which isn't always the front page.
One ZIP, one spelling
Lake Wylie and Clover share the 29710 ZIP, so a single business can easily end up described three ways: one on the listing, another on the website, a third in some directory. We settle on one version and bring every mention into line with it.
What you're left holding
A short to-do list ranked by likely payoff, typically an evening or two of work. If you're on monthly SEO, the list gets refreshed as your market shifts.
Listing questions
Do you need a login to my Business Profile?
No. We don't hold manager rights on client listings. Roger's playbook tells you what to change, and you change it from your own account, with him on a screen share if that helps.
When will I notice a difference?
Corrections such as a mistaken category or an outdated number tend to register inside a month or so. Growth that comes from photos and fresh reviews takes longer to show.
My business is mobile. Is a listing still worth it?
It is. Businesses that travel to their customers can hide the street address and list the areas they cover.
Tell us where you want to go.
Send the address of your current site, or just describe the business. Roger looks it over and replies with what he would change first and how a quote for it would be put together.
